With apologies to Dr. King, Free at last.  Yesterday was the last school day of the year, and today was my checkout day.  I’ve got the next two months off.  Only two months?  Yes, because the district decided to push back the start of the next school year.  This was the most difficult year I’ve had.  Maybe the kids were worse than ever.  Maybe I’m getting older.  Probably both.  On the plus side, I’ve worked with mostly good people who are dedicated to their jobs.  Now I’m going to be writing my ass off.
