First Sony closed their ebook store and now Diesel has closed up shop as well. It will be interesting to see what happens to the ebook market in the next few years. Will it be dominated by a few content megastores like iBooks and Amazon, or will subscription services like Oyster and Scribd take off? Or is there some other possibility. At least for now it seems like it won’t be an online version of the old bookstore system, with thousands of independent booksellers. One thing is for sure though, ebooks are here to stay.
