The Price of Magic is just a couple days away, so we’re looking at the many characters in the book. Most have appeared in previous books. I’m not going to tell you what happens to them in The Price of Magic, but if you haven’t read the earlier Senta books, Spoiler Alert.
Saba Colbshallow is one of the main characters in the series. He appears in Book 0: Brechalon and Book 1: The Voyage of the Minotaur, but really comes into his own in Book 2: The Dark and Forbidding Land. One could make the argument that he actually has the most important part in that book. He is certainly one of the few characters that gets as much focus as Senta. In Book 3: The Drache Girl, he meets Loana and by Book 4: The Young Sorceress, they are married. In book 5: The Two Dragons, we see quite a bit of his married family life.
We don’t see nearly as much of Saba in Book 6: The Sorceress and her Lovers as the previous books, but his importance is there. We see Saba and Loana twice in The Price of Magic, once together and once each apart. Still Saba plays an important role.
