Eamon and Dot Shrubb

The Price of Magic - NewThe Price of Magic is available tomorrow, wherever fine ebooks are sold.  We’re looking at the many characters in the book. Most have appeared in previous books. I’m not going to tell you what happens to them in The Price of Magic, but if you haven’t read the earlier Senta books, Spoiler Alert.

Eamon Shrubb first appeared in Book 2: The Dark and Forbidding Land as a foil for Saba Colbshallow.  By Book 3: The Drache Girl, they have become close friends, and Eamon has picked up a wife named Dot.  The secret here is that I wrote book 3 first!

Eamon is a big guy, and a natural for a bobby.  He is friendly and boyish in some ways, but quickly turns no-nonsense when violators are about.  Eamon plays an important part in The Price of Magic too.

Dot is a character based on someone I once new.  She is a vivacious redhead who is also deaf.  Although she can speak, she seldom does because she thinks (or has been told) that her voice sounds funny.  Dot is a great character to have around for the others to interact with.

Senta and the Steel Dragon Book 7: The Price of Magic is available tomorrow for $2.99 wherever fine ebooks are sold.
