Actually, I guess, it’s five colors or Martians– green, red, yellow, black, and white. Burroughs’s idea that the red race of Martians (including the lovely Deja Thoris) were descended from the combined genetics of black, yellow, and white Martians was actually pretty progressive for its time. Remember, this was 1913.
