What’s Up (5-5-23)

Hello,

At the beginning of the year, I announced that I was planning to publish five books this year.  That is still the goal.  It looks like the first will be the first book of a new series.  The series title is “The Greywater Adventurer’s Guild.”  It is a story of a group of adventurers in a fairly typical fantasy setting.  There are some twists and turns to the story that I think you will enjoy..

So, wait!  That was not one of the five books promised.  Right.  Well, it’s taking the place in the lineup of The Destroyer Returns Book 2.  That book my wait a while, as there aren’t a huge number of people clamoring for it.  (Let me know if I’m wrong and you are eagerly awaiting the story.)

The other four books planned for this year are still on track: Knights of Amathar, The Return of the Sorceress, RO110: Time Traveler at Large, and Astrid Maxxim and her Hyperloop Hovertrain.

I’m feeling pretty confident.  I’ve been getting a great deal of writing done, and I still have twelve work days before my retirement begins.

Thanks to all of you for being readers.  If you would like to offer more support, visit my Patreon page and become a supporter.

  1. I’m looking forward to Knights of Amathar since I enjoyed the first book so much. I will read whatever you write so I’m ready for anything! Keep up the good work! Also, looking forward to the next book after Nova Dancer. It still reminds me of some of Mike Resnicks space books.

    • Hello Mike,
Thanks so much for your support. I’m glad you’re looking forward to Knights of Amathar. I’ve always intended to do more Amathar. I don’t know why it’s taken so long. A new Nova Dancer story is coming. The working title is Space Amazon. Keep an eye out here for more information. Thanks again and take care.

  2. Hi Wesley,

I want to first thank you for the incredible stories.

I’ve loved the Senta Series, Robot Girlfriend/Wife Series, Eaglethorpe Series, and The Princess of Amathar book.

It’s been a while since the 5/5 post, are you still planning to write and release the Princess of Amathar sequel. Knight of Amathar, this year? Princess of Amathar was your first book of tour’s that I read and because of it, I was able to find and enjoy the other books that I named. I’ve been asking you to write a sequel for years, so I was elated when you made the announcement. Please let us know, and thanks again for the adventures.

    • Hi,
Thanks so much for your comments and your support. I overestimated how much I was going to be able to get done this year. I was shooting for five books this year, and I thought that since I was retiring from my day job at the end of May, I’d be able to do them. Turns out, that first half of the year, I didn’t get as much done as I thought I could. I published book number one for the year “The Greywater Adventurers Guild,” and I am still hoping for one or more before the end of the year. I’ve been jumping around a bit, so I don’t know what the order for the next few books is going to be. That being said, Knights of Amathar is definitely in the queue. So, whether it’s this year or next year, it will be coming. I’ve also got a new Senta book, a new Astrid Maxxim, and a new Robot book in the works, as well as several new stories. Regardless of how many I finish this year, I’m going to keep the goal of five books a year for the coming years. Thanks again for your question and for your continued support.
