Nine days ago I showed you my favorite car commercial of all time. This is a shorter version. If you watch both, you will also notice the voice-over of the minister on this one, as well as a shuffling of the characters at the end. Does it change what you think might happen next?
There are a lot of great commercials, but VW does seem to lead the way. Or at least they did. What happened VW? Tired of being cool?
You’ve probably seen this one. It was featured on Ellen. It’s worth another look. By the way, I’ve used Old Spice for years.
I’ve never seen this one before, but it has to deserve an honorable mention.
I don’t know if everyone is as fascinated by good advertising as I am, but here’s another great one.
I’ve actually used this VW commercial “Big Day” to teach the concepts of plot, character, and theme. It’s a classic. You may recognize actor Kevin Rahm from Desperate Housewives (among other roles) as the lead. There are at least two versions of this commercial with ever so slightly different endings. If I find the other, I’ll show you.
There are shorter versions of the Dodge Commercial out there, but this is the complete one. Thanks to Michael C. Hall, it is one of the great ones.
