I’ve been looking at my book list and realizing that I haven’t been reading enough. My resolution is to get all the books I’ve started finished. I started reading Snow Falling on Cedars, Last of the Mohicans, and the Audacity of Hope, and I’ve got a “to read” list of about a dozen others. I’m going to finish these three by the 3rd and then move on to some great books for 2011.

His Robot Girlfriend – On Library Thing
Munsey’s

Always on the lookout for sources of free eBooks, I never the less somehow overlooked Munsey’s. Here you can find 20,000 unusual and hard to get titles in a variety of formats. This is an especially good place to find the “racy” detective stories of the fifties and sixties, such as the title pictured above. And they add on average, eleven titles a day. You can find Munsey’s Here.

Books Everyone Should Read – Part 4
Carmilla by J. Sheridan LeFanu
Actually a novella, this vampires story predates Dracula. By far my favorite vampire story, it really plays up the predator-prey aspect of the myth, and of course there is plenty of lesbian subtext. Download it in several eBook formats for free HERE. This is a link to Feedbooks.com, but it can be found in a variety of sites devoted to free books.
