A street tough, bully, and thug is shanghaied onto a ship’s crew bound for the south Pacific, only to face shipwreck, jungle dangers, and the denizens of a lost world. Pretty typical stuff for an Edgar Rice Burroughs novel. This almost forgotten work by the author of Tarzan of the Apes and John Carter of Mars is well worth the read.
