I didn’t get a lot of Christmas presents, because there wasn’t much I wanted or needed.  My wife agreed not to buy each other anything this year– though we both cheated slightly.  She bought me a belt and I bought her a compost bin!    But my son and daughter pitched in together and bought me a Dark Knight Returns action figure set– totally unexpected to say the least, but I love it.  It is sitting right above me on my desk.  If you haven’t read or seen the animated version of The Dark Knight Returns part 1 (not to be confused with The Dark Knight Rises), you should check it out.  Part 2 of the animated movie comes out in January, I think.  I like it for no other reason than Superman and Batman, in it, are about my own age.
