Update: The Jungle Girl

I’m just finishing up chapter four of The Jungle Girl.  I had to go back and make some major changes.  I considered rewriting it in third person, instead of the first person story I started.  Instead, I went back and made some additions to the story that I think make it better.  I haven’t had much time to write this week but I’m hoping that next month will be much better.  The goal of course is to have it done by January for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest.  I hope to finish three books in 2011–The Jungle Girl, Women of Power, and His Robot Wife.

HERE IT IS!  THE FIRST PEEK AND THE COVER FOR THE LONG AWAITED SEQUEL TO HIS ROBOT GIRLFRIEND. 
 

As I write this, I am just finishing chapter 2 of 10 planned.  I think I have a good outline and I’m enjoying writing Mike and Patience again.  My real challenge and desire is to make this book an answer for those who liked His Robot Girlfreind, but wanted more, or thought the ending left them hanging a bit too much.  I’m also adding quite a bit of explication for those who don’t believe my monetary system of the book was well thought out..  In any case I plan to have the first draft done by early November if all goes well.  My plan right now is that this will not be a free book– it will be either .99 or 1.99.  Let me know if you have an opinion on this or on the cover.  FYI, it is the same cover model that was featured on the first book.

The corrected and updated edition of The Voyage of the Minotaur has been sent and approved by Smashwords.  It should be in all the ebookstores in the coming weeks.

Now I’ve started working on the corrected and updated version of His Robot Girlfriend.  I’m not sure how long this will take.  I am going through three steps on this.  The first step is to reformat the manuscript to better display on eReaders.  I’ve already done that.  The second is to go through a revision reading pass.  Third is to listen to it read by Text2Go.  I still have to do steps two and three.

I’ve already started His Robot Wife.  I’m well into chapter two (of 10), but I think I’ll slow down and focus a little more on His Robot Girlfriend, not only because I hate having a book out there with typos, but because rereading the first book might help me in writing the second.
