Author of twenty science-fiction and fantasy books, including the popular "His Robot Girlfriend."

Record Book Sales

I’m pretty excited.  My books are selling well.  Prior to 2011, the most books that I had sold in a month was 65.  Since most Indy authors sell fewer than 100 books, I wasn’t too discouraged.  I write what I would want to read, and I think that most of my books don’t have much of a “hook.”  When people start reading them though, I seem to get pretty good feedback.  So I knew that at some point I would hook a few readers.  I also suspected that His Robot Wife would be the book to hook a few.

His Robot Wife came out in February, and I sold over 100 books that month.  Then in March, I sold almost 500!  Here (as I write this), April has just started and I’ve already sold over 500 this month!  As I mentioned before, most of them are in the UK, but also quite a few in Australia and Canada.  Thanks to all my readers out there.  I appreciate you.

Ebook Signing Tour Day 14: Pellucidar

[DOLLHOUSE MINIATURE] Tanar of Pellucidar, Edgar Rice Burroughs, 1929

Pellucidar: the land at the Earth’s Core– what a great place to finish out my two week Ebook Signing Tour.  I’ve been to twelve imaginary places and I feel as if I never left home.  Pellucidar is the location for seven great books by Edgar Rice Burroughs.  You can get them all, including Pellucidar right here.  Download them in any ebook format.

Ebook Signing Tour Day 13: Arkham Mass.

My next to last day on the road brings me to Arkham Mass.  Home to Miskatonic University and a plethora of unnatural horrors from the mind of H.P. Lovecraft, Arkham was the inspiration for Arkham Assylum of Batman fame and is a great place to go to lose yourself (or your mind).

Ebook Signing Tour Day 12: Gondor

If you’re going to visit Middle Earth, then you need to visit Gondor.  I’m staying in a nice little apartment next to the ratcatcher.  I first read Lord of the Rings when I was in High School.  It was the book that everybody was reading.  It was kind of the Harry Potter of its day, I suppose.  I still love it.

Ebook Signing Tour Day 11: The United Kingdom of Greater Brechalon

The United Kingdom of Greater Brechalon and its capital city of Brech are the locations for my novel Brechalon, as well as the starting location of The Voyage of the Minotaur.  It is a fantasy analog for Victorian England.  Ruled by King Tybalt III, it sits on a series of islands some twenty miles across the channel from its traditional enemies Mirsanna and Freedonia.

Ebook Signing Tour Day 10: Amathar

This is home base, as it were for City of Amathar Press.  Amathar is a huge city, roughly two thousand miles in diameter that resides inside the hollow world of Ecos and is the setting for Princess of Amathar, my first novel.  The people are hardy, industrious, and blue.  Please take note that this book was written years before Avatar was released.  Inspired by the books of Edgar Rice Burroughs (which reportedly also inspired Avatar) Princess of Amathar is a sword swinging, sci-fi adventure.

Ebook Signing Tour Day 9: Aerithraine

Today I am visiting beautiful Aerithraine, home of Queen Elleena, with whom Eaglethorpe Buxton once had the pleasure of spending a fortnight.  Aerithraine traces its origin to my teen years, where it was the home base for my Dungeons and Dragons game.  Though neither of my Eaglethorpe Buxton stories take place in Aerithraine, it does get more than a few mentions from my title character.

Ebook Signing Tour Day 8: Springdale California

I’m here in Springdale California today, staying at the home of Mike Smith and his robot wife Patience.  Their house at 11 North Willow, is lovely and futuristic… I guess duh, since it is in the year 2037.  The first adventure of Mike and Patience is detailed in His Robot Girlfriend and is available at any fine ebook store absolutely free.  The new adventure His Robot Wife is just 99 cents, again, where fine ebooks are sold.

Ebook Signing Tour Day 7: Caprona

Truly a land that time forgot, Caprona is a place where everybody goes through the stages from the earliest lifeforms all the way up to caveman.  Since apparently, even the highest lifeforms can’t read, I’m not really sure why I’m here on my ebook signing tour.  Oh yeah!  The dinosaurs!  Caprona was first reveal in The Land that Time Forgot by Edgar Rice Burroughs.  They’ve made two films of it, but do yourself a favor and read the book.  It’s a free download at Manybooks.net.

Ebook Signing Tour Day 6: The Isle of Conclusion

How did I get here?  You have to jump to Conclusion!  This wonderful place was first detailed in Norton Juster’s The Phantom Tollbooth.  Now, I’m off to take a dip in the Sea of Knowledge.
