Smashwords – iBooks

Mark Coker of Smashwords made a couple of exciting announcements this week.  One was that iBooks recently opened to 26 new countries.
Czech Republic
As he pointed out, Europe is a growth area for ebooks.
Secondly he announced that iBooks had their single best day for Smashwords titles on 10/9/11.  I am excited to see what this means for my books, as iBooks has been my best selling outlet and I’m anxious to see sales on Women of Power and Blood Trade.

His Robot Girlfriend is Free on iBooks

Just a quick reminder that the ebook version of His Robot Girlfriend is free wherever fine ebooks are to be found.  One of those places is iBooks.  If you have an iPhone, an iPod, or an iPad stop by iTunes and go to the books section and download this book for free.  Once you read it, shoot me a note here at City of Amathar Blog, or the His Robot Girlfriend Facebook page.

Women of Power now available on iBooks! Still 99 cents!

Women of Power is now available at iBooks, as well as Amazon and Smashwords.  If you are an iBooks fan, please give it a try.  Don’t forget a little feedback love.  I really appreciate it.  For those lovers of B&N, Kobo, and Sony, I’ll let you know as soon as it’s available at those fine ebook stores.

His Robot Girlfriend Tops 150,000 Downloads

There has been a huge increase in downloads of His Robot Girlfriend in the past month– although it has been downloaded at more than 5,000 times per month for some time.  Although available at Manybooks, Smashwords, and Feedbooks, it seems that readers are discovering it now at Kobo, Diesel, iBooks, and B&N.

I’ll be honest.  I was happy enough with it when it was first done, but now I think I’ve improved quite a bit in my story telling and writing and I’m a little embarrassed that it’s not better than it is.  Oh well, many people seem to like it– there are more 5 star reviews than 1 star reviews.

His Robot Wife: Now in iBooks!

His Robot Wife hit the iBook Store last night at about 8PM.  It will be a nervewracking couple of months before I find out how it is selling.  That’s one great benefit of publishing at the Kindle Store.

On a related note, His Robot Girlfriend, which was number 1 on the Free Science Fiction and Fantasy charts at iBooks, dropped to number 7.  I can’t feel too bad about it since numbers 1-6 are all Star Wars books.

His Robot Girlfriend Climbing the Charts on iBooks

His Robot Girlfriend is currently the 17th most downloaded free book on Apple’s iBooks.  It just passed Dracula and the Complete works of Shakespeare.  Overall, the ratings and reviews have been positive, though there have been some that were really mean.  ::sniff::  You’ve got to have a thick skin if you want to get your writing out there– I guess that’s true of anything public.  I’ll share some of the reviews here soon– aw hell, who am I kidding.  I’ll share them all.
